Abstract
Short-term rental, which involves renting apartments and houses per number of days, is rapidly growing in Poland, especially in tourist destinations. The lack of clear legal regulations in this area leads to numerous problems, such as rising housing prices, limited access to properties for permanent residents, and unfair competition against the hotel industry. The European Union is introducing new regulations aimed at standardizing rules and protecting the interests of all parties involved in the short-term rental market. Poland is also taking steps to adapt to these changes, striving for sustainable tourism development and better control of this sector.
